2017 World Rowing Championships

For the first time in 20 years, the World Rowing Championships are being held in the U.S. Sarasota will host this international event expecting 42,000 visitors to flock to the city for the event held from September 23 – October 1 at Nathan Benderson Park.

A multimillion dollar investment, the gorgeous park includes a 400-acre manmade lake and the Regatta Island, which will seat thousands of spectators and house the athlete’s waiting areas, boathouses, and more. 14 teams will be competing, including Great Britain, New Zealand, and Australia for a total of 1,700 male and female athletes from around the world.
